Plot Summary:Barbara is a very rich girl who falls in love with Norman Phiffier, a poor young man. She doesn't tell him who she really is and prepares to marry him. But, Mrs. Tuttle (Barbara's mother) doesn't want her daughter to mary such a poor man. So, she hires Norman at one of her big stores, and gives him the most difficult and disgusting works. She hopes that seeing Norman humiliated, Barbara will finally leave him. But things don't work exactly this way...

前面刚开始卖萌还有笑料，而且比较合理，特别是22分钟左右的打字表演与配乐配合得天衣无缝、惟妙惟肖；但之后的各种任务意外就显得重复、浮夸和做作，为卖萌搞笑而搞笑，多少显得有些无聊和尴尬。一星给男主的卖力表演，两星给Jill，太美了！在众星璀璨的邦女郎中，她也是翘楚（个人审美）！
For most of its runtime this alternates between moderately charming Lewis bits (the air typewriter number being a standout) and cringe-inducing reactionary sexism, but then that goddamned vacuum cleaner sucks up everything in sight and the cast is reduced to proletarian dogwalkers and suddenly all is right with the world.
So dynamic as a real dynamite as always, this time as an innocent weapon, Lewis puts everybody in danger, severely messes up the consumption world without reservation, so funny and necessary.

若要講劇本嚴謹度，Tashlin的多數作品自然胡來亂收到令人髮指，但他的趣味，或說對當代而言彌足珍貴之處，在於讓人驚喜的空間處理。空間或許才是喜劇的精髓，可惜類似思維當代幾乎遍尋不著。
