Today is the last day of this crazy April. The weather is cold and gloomy. I would say it felt rainy too, but it didn’t rain at all. I thought to myself, “this is just perfect weather to watch A rainy day in New York.” so I did. I sat at my desk and enjoyed on my iPad.
There’s something about Woody Allen’s films that is so charming and magic. It makes me want to live a life in it. This one in particular. The story, the setting, the lines coming out from those actors, the jazz played throughout the whole film, and the bar that happens to be on my “want to go” bar list also appeared. Above all, it’s in New York.
I always liked movies that set in New York, where everything could happen. New York has this mysterious charm that can be transparent and hidden at the same time. I’ve seen New York late at night when people start showing their most vulnerable side. I’ve also caught several sunrises, with friends and strangers as well.
I feel like there will be one day that I have to say goodbye to New York, the city that forever changed who I am. I don’t know when will that be, but I know, deep in my heart, it is going to be so damn hard.
